Obituary
Raymond William Angevine was born on December 14,
1926 to William and Ethel Angevine in Brooklyn, New York. He
was educated in the New York City Public School System where he
learned how to draw and honed his artistic skills.
In 1945, he joined the Army where he served as a Baker. He
was Honorably Discharged in 1947. Also known as “Sonny”, he
liked to play baseball, go fishing and was also a good dancer.
In 2006, Sonny became ill and was unable to care for himself.
He went into the Brooklyn United Methodist Church Home where
he received the best of care until his passing.
Sonny leaves to mourn his wife Thelma, children: Vanessa
(deceased), Donna, Lynn (deceased), Crystal, Jerald and Quentin, 19
grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 surviving sisters: Elaine
Louther and Brenda Hicks, one surviving brother Winston (aka
Butchie), brother-in-law Sheldon, sister-in-law Lucelle, four siblings
preceded him in death - sister Irene Glisky, sister Doris Crippen, sister
Millicent Boyd, brother Ronald. He also leaves behind a multitude
of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
