Mr. Dennis James Mosley

DENNIS JAMES MOSLEY was born on October 13, 1963 to Carrie Mosley in Brooklyn, New York. He was a proud and devoted son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. The middle child of three siblings, Dennis found his own strength and forged his own identity. He grew up in Breukelen Houses in Canarsie, Brooklyn. He attended P.S. 260 and Bildersee Junior High School before graduating from Eli Whitney High School in 1981. Upon graduating, he took to Wall Street, working as a runner for the New York Stock Exchange. He also worked at Lehman Brothers. After several years, he went on to work with New York City Transit, keeping the system clean and safe for it’s ridership. Dennis pursued life unapologetically. He purchased a home in Willingboro, New Jersey, much to his mother’s excitement. He drove a Ford Expedition truck that fit who he was: powerful, tenacious, and larger than life. He was a spirited sports fan; his love for the Pittsburgh Steelers ran deep. His youthfulness and energy fostered a love for motorcycles that spanned years. He joined a bike club for like-minded individuals and forged a bond through travel and speed. He rode a Suzuki Hayabusa (CSX 1300R), touring up and down the East Coast throughout the years. He was fearless in everything he did and it showed in the way he lived his life. He spoiled his nephews and spent a great amount of time with his great niece and great nephew. Dennis found joy in giving light to others. He was pragmatic, expressing his love through what he did for his family and friends. He could be counted on for anything. After over twenty six years of dedicated service, Dennis moved on from his work with the MTA and returned to Brooklyn to care for his mother. He stayed by her side through his own health issues. Surrounded by love and his family, he returned home to the Lord on January 7th, 2016. Dennis will remain forever in our hearts. He is survived by: his mother, Carrie Mosley; two sisters, Debora White and Yvette Mosley; his aunt, Lillian Smith; two nephews, Tyriek White and Troy White III; his niece, Qua White; great niece and nephew, Alise and Trey White, respectively; as well as his adoring extended family, relatives, friends and coworkers.
