Although you leave this earth and will be truly missed we understand that a better place has been set you. Fly-Fly away Dee Dee the Dancing-Machine, you will continue to dance, but only in a better place, a place call Heaven. We will always remember your smile, and your voice. We may weep in the night, but weep because your presence is no longer with us, but we rejoice in the morning because you are home, home safe in his arms. Rest in peace aunty Dee Dee, may God’s Angels shine upon you, and your soul rest in peace. The Obituary Desiree Ricks was born to the late Mr. Linster Ricks Sr. and the late Bettie Ricks in Brooklyn, New York. Desiree was born in Cumberland Hospital on March 5, 1964 and departed this life and went home to be with the Lord on April 8, 2015. Desiree was educated at Public School 249 and graduated to Ditmas Junior High School in Brooklyn, New York in the Flatbush area. Desiree's passion was at home, and in the community that she lived. Desiree brought laughter to many people, and was well known as “Dee Dee the Dancing Machine”. Desiree had a smile that, all who knew her, knew that she was happy and most likely dancing. Desiree departed this life on April 8, 2015 and leaves behind to cherish her memory two sons Michael Level Ricks, and Harry Vincent Ricks. Her two sons blessed her with one grandson, and three granddaughters. Tayanna Ricks, Mckai Ricks, Autumn Glory Ricks, and Royal London Ricks. Desiree leaves behind three sisters and two brothers: Serena Ella Ricks’ Parett, Nadine Ricks, Linster Ricks Jr., Chairsee Ricks’ Harris, and Vincent Ricks. Desiree also leaves behind to cherish in her memory nineteen nieces and nephews: Tashema Ricks-Greene Latoya Ricks, Myasia Ricks, Shante Ricks, Darnell Ricks, Linster Ricks III, Alexis Harris, Quanell Ricks, Alfredo Ricks, Quamika Clarke, Jasmine Ricks, Alex Ricks, Tiffany Ricks, Imani Respass, Cherise Ricks, Tariah Ricks, Heaven Ricks, Serena Ricks, Messiah Ricks, her future daughter-in-law Kalimah Glover and a host of great nieces and nephew, cousins, family and friends.
