Donald Davis

Donald Davis, was born on July 25, 1955 to the union of Littleton and Josephine Davis in Jamaica, New York. Donald attended John Adams High School and also went to school for Cosmetology. Throughout the years Donald was very athletic and had a knack for cutting hair. Donald love music and was also a very sharp dresser. Donald was introduced to Karen by his sister Sharon in 1978. They courted of and on throughout those years and then decided to get married. You very rarely saw one without the other unless the two of them were at work. Donald loved and cherished Karen to the fullest. He often spoke highly of her to his family and friends. He truly loved the ground that she walked on. He also, very much, loved his children and his mother. His sisters often teased him by saying he was a Mama's boy. Donald had the gift of gab and could always be seen talking and educating people. He was always spreading his love. Donald worked as a Forensic Counselor at the Legal Aid Society for many years. After leaving the Legal Aid Society he went to Costco Wholesale and worked as a Marketing Representative for fifteen years and was loved by many. To really tell you about Donald it would take a couple of pages because he was a real unique character. Donald and his wife were dedicated Jazz buffs and for nineteen years religiously went to the Newport Jazz Festival in Saratoga Springs, New York. Donald loved going there so much he got his friends to join him and then they started going year to year with him. In the year of 1999 Donald was diagnosed with Kidney disease. After being on dialysis for a year he learned that his wife Karen was a match and had a Kidney transplant in 2001. He took lots of medication which caused him to be tired a lot but he kept pushing on. Donald loved to cook and bake. This past Thanksgiving he baked four Sweet Potato Pies, a Banana Pudding and Potato Soufflé. He was in a very good mood and was very happy for the Thanksgiving holiday. Donald leaves behind his wife Karen, his mother Josephine, his children LaShawn, Leteicha, Shatonn and Jennone, grandchildren: Keith Jr., Kayla, Kahlil, Kurtrayl, Shalayze and Kiara. He also leaves four sisters Carol, Sharon, Linda, Robin and a brother Erwin, two brothers-in-law Wallace and Corbett, two sisters-in-law Sharen and Paulette (Cookie), a God sister Doreatha and a daughter-in-law Alliana. He also leaves behind a whole host of close friends, nieces and nephews. Donald will truly be missed.
