Dear Brethren: Loving greetings in our Lord: After a protracted period of illness, of our beloved Sister Dorothy, wife of Bro. Richard Badlu, she fell asleep on Thursday December 4, 2025 at 3.10 pm. The Viewing and Funeral Service for Sis. Dorothy will take place at: Grace Funeral Chapel 607 North Conduit Brooklyn NY11208 The arrangements are set out hereunder :  Thursday, December 18, 2005: The Viewing will be on from 5 - 7 pm, and a Memorial Service for Sis. Dorothy from 7pm – 8 pm  Friday, December 19, 2005: The Funeral service will be held from 10 am – 10.30, the Burial at Cypress Hill Cemetery located at 833 Jamaica Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11208. Thereafter, a Repast will be held at the Basement of South Zone Park Ecclesia Christadelphian Meeting Place – Located at 120-22 131st South Ozone Park, NY 11420. Dorothy Badlu Our elder sister, first daughter of my Parents is Dorothy Das (Hia), after her marriage to Mr. Richard Badlu on April 14, 2005; she adopted her family name ‘Badlu’. We gratefully thank God for His wonderful plan and make it happen to get marry our sister ‘Dorothy’ with Mr. Richard Badlu, such a good spiritual person ever we met in our family life. Our father was the late Mr. D. L. Das (deceased on 16 Nov, 1994) and our mother was Mrs. Purnima Das (deceased on 12 Jan 2016). Including Sis. Dorothy, the eldest, we are six Sisters and Brothers; and are listed below according to seniority: Ms. Sarathy Sarker (Shikha), lives in New York, USA Ms. Marry Rita Das lives with my family Rev. David Anirudha Das (Dipok), lives in Dhaka, Bangladesh Mr. John Dilip Das lives in Jessore, where Dorothy and all of us were born. Ms. Anita Das (Anu), lives in Pennsylvania, USA At Jessore, there our greater family home established by my mother’s ancestor, and my father rebuilt a big house there, From her childhood Dorothy was extraordinary God gifted talented, hardworking, courageous, and much spiritual and leading in every where she is. She was always the first girl in her class all through her student life. Since her childhood age, she always was leading at her Sunday school. She topped all students in her lower classes. She joined the school ‘Girls Guide’ and ‘Cadet’ in the school and college. She was the first student among girls ever in the whole Jessore district who studied in the University of Dhaka (the largest and oldest University) from 1970 to 1974. During her university life she leaded many Christian and non-Christian Organization, like Student Christian Movement, YWCA, Lalon Parishad, Bangladesh Student League etc. During her study in 1971 the whole country was vigorously involved with Independence movement and finally started the Liberation War, arms struggle against the invader Pakistani Army. With all her classmates, especially her friends ‘Saleha and Sahida’, my sister joined in this arms struggle. After a short training course in Dhaka and West Bengal she joined as a Freedom Fighter to bring the Independence of our motherland. We feel so proud for our beloved sister Dorothy as she was a Freedom Fighter. We express our highest Honorius Respect to sister ‘Dorothy’ for her extraordinary life to glorify God! We Salute her! With our heavy hearts we bow down to God for His perfect plan and time to receive our sister Dorothy in his hand to ensure everlasting peace and comfort! But we will not only be remembering her all single points in her life, but we must try to keep moving the pathway she has demonstrated in her praiseworthy life! On behalf of my Family Rev.
