Inez O. Lovell

Inez Olive Boyce-Lovell was born on August 07, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York. She was the third daughter of the late Conrad and Ina Boyce. Inez also had three brothers, Joseph, Edward and Cebert whom preceded her in death. On July 31, 2018 God called Inez home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She now joins her beloved husband and son, Calvin and Antoine. They are all in the care of God’s loving hands resting in peace. Inez was educated in the New York City Public School System and then began her lifelong journey of 65 wonderful years of marriage to the love of her life, Calvin. On August 21, 1948 Inez married her childhood sweetheart Calvin Lovell. Their union brought forth their beloved son, Antoine. Antoine became and was the center of their universe until his untimely death. Inez continued to live a wonderful life together with her husband Calvin until he fell ill and passed away leaving her longing to be reunited with both her husband and son. Inez had many skills but one stood out that really showed her creative side and that was making all types of clothing. Inez was an avid seamstress who had a natural eye for fashion and could make almost anything. She was a fashionable, sophisticated woman who was always looking for trends and setting them with her own stylish clothes wear. Inez was certainly one who could capture one’s attention with her fashionable dress. Inez worked in the Radiology Department at Kings County Hospital for over 30 years as an Office Associate before retiring to continue tending to her family full time. She is remembered at Kings County Hospital by her friends and colleagues as an independent, no nonsense, hard working woman. Inez's health unfortunately began to decline in recent years. By God’s grace and mercy her niece, Cheryl and her husband, Tony were there to care for her. On the evening of July 31, 2018 at Downstate Hospital she transitioned from this world to eternal life. We will always remember in our thoughts and cherish in our hearts the beautiful, witty and vibrant woman that she was. Inez leaves to cherish her loving memory, her two sisters, Eunice Smith and Elaine Lewis, granddaughter, great grandson, nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, cousins and a host of relatives and friends. Inez Olive Lovell will never be forgotten by those who knew and loved her.
