Mr. Jaret Buyund

Jaret (Bott) Buyund was born on September 20, 1949 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Dolla and Lillian Buyund. Jaret is the fourth child out of eight children. He attended St. Peter Claver School and graduated from Long Island College with his Associate Degree. In 1973 he met and married his soul mate, Audrey Buyund and together they enjoyed 47 years of matrimony. Not only was he a loving husband, but also a loving father to his two daughters Janina Ramsey and Avergene Ramsey as well as his grandson Donovan Buyund who he raised as his own. Jaret had an unforgettable smile as well as a friendly, caring yet calm spirit that warmed any room he was in. Whether it was his coworkers he met from working at MTA for 18 years, people in the neighborhood who he grew up with or played pool with (which he loved), he was well known and loved by many. He truly lived life to the fullest from simple pleasures, such as creating memories with his wife, spending time with family, watching sports, chatting with people from the neighborhood, working, playing pool with the Pool Hall Hustlers and Chester Street Pool Club, as well as coaching youth in Little League Baseball and Junior Basketball. Jaret touched the lives of many from all walks of life. On Sunday, July 12, 2020, Jaret fell asleep in death. He is predeceased by his two brothers; Dolla Buyund and Samat (Sammy) Buyund and his older sister; Fatima (Tina) Tate. He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Audrey Buyund; one sister in-law Dolores Benton and two brother in-laws Herbert Benton and Hal Moore; two daughters Janina Ramsey and Avergene Ramsey, 14 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; two brothers Ming (Mingy) Buyund and Kim (Kitty) Buyund; two sisters Joy (JJ) Sung and Sooyeng (Suey) Sung; and a host of cousins, in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Jaret (Bott) will be missed. His family, friends and Chester Street Pool Club family; Robert & Miltoria Darden, Willie Johnson, Michael Jackson, Eugene Perry, Brooklyn Mike, Moe and Chuck (Cousin & Brother) will miss his company, smile and pool playing skills. You will always be in our hearts. We will miss you dearly until we meet again.
