Mr. Quinn "Don Q" Rhodes

Quinn “Don Q” Rhodes was born in Cumberland Hospital, Brooklyn, New York, on May 25th 1967 to Charles and Carol Rhodes. Quinn was the second born, and first son, of Charles and Carol Rhodes. He was raised in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York. They later moved to Marlboro Projects. As a child he attended Concord Baptist Church. At the age of 14 he grew a love for boxing. He flourished at boxing and was fortunate to travel to different states to compete in many boxing tournaments. He attended Public School 248. Then attended I.S.96 Seth Low for Junior High school. He then went on to attend Lafayette High School. At 25 he attended The ARC Program In Harlem, New York. Quinn started his professional career in Maintenance at the New York City Port Authority where he worked for 10 years. While working he also attended college for two years. Quinn was a loving and devoted father to his children, and his grandchildren. He was one of the most giving and kind hearted person you ever wanted to meet. Always encouraging and uplifting to any one who may have needed him at the time. He always made sure he gave back to his community by doing back to school barbeques where he would give backpacks and school supplies for the children of the community. Quinn was well-known in all boroughs in New York City as “Don Q”. His immediate family called him Boobop, and his friends also called him “Q” and “60/40”. On April 17th, Quinn was called home by God to reunite with his father Charles Rhodes (Deceased) and his sister Trishia Rhodes. (Deceased). Although Quinn was a resident of Brooklyn there was no where he went that he didn’t know someone no matter where he went. (Don’t send him for bread). Quinn was fun , loving , and definitely a family man. Quinn’s love for his family and friends was unconditional. He loved his clothes, he was very street smart and always read his bible. As family and friends we know in his heavenly home Quinn will still be dispensing advice being the preacher, mentor, protector, father, brother, husband, grandfather and last but not least a loyal man. Quinn will not want us to be sad because he will continue to be watching over us he would want us to celebrate his legacy known as the party planner. He was known for being best dressed and the flyest hands down!!! He leaves to cherish his memory with his Beloved Mother Carol, fiancé Lorie Klass. His children and step children Imani Johnson, Quinn Rhodes Jr., Quaysha Rhodes, Quajon Rhodes, Kevin Klass, Tiffany Klass, Loreen Lyons, and Lawrence Lyons. Two grandchildren Ezeriah and Owen. His siblings Chanel Rhodes (Glen), Kevin Rhodes (Tracy), Monique Rhodes, Torin Tuggle (Robbie) and Terell Tuggle (Kathy). His nephews Kevin Jr., Magic, Kamari, Landon, Kahriq , Kasim, Kyron, Terell Jr, Trevor, Tariq, Tionne Jr., Taquan, and Tygie. His nieces Tarina, Taeh, Ta’lajuh , Maya , Kaia , Kali, Kamyla and Taliyah. Twenty-one of his first cousins and ninety cousins. His aunts Helen, Jeanette, Gloria, Laura, and Delores. His Uncles Ronald, and Phillip. He will also be missed by his special God brother and sisters Perice, Janay, Theresa and Quanmera.
