Mr. Astor Milligan

Astor "Duck" Milligan, age 60, passed away on December 10, 2019 at his home in Brooklyn. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 6, 1959 to the late Willie Milligan and Annie Kendrick. He resided in Brooklyn for most of his life. Duck received his High School diploma in Juneau, Alaska, where he was stationed at the time, in the United States Army. He was a proud Veteran and received meritorious acknowledgment for his service. Later, Duck went on to work for the Board of Education, where he retired after 25 years of employment. He was also previously employed by the Brooklyn Development Center. Duck was an amazing chef and enjoyed creating new dishes. He was also an avid sports fanatic who loved his New York teams: the NY Giants and the Yankees. He also kept current on everything that happened in the city; he was Mr. Current Events. He will be forever remembered by his brothers: Jackie Kendrick and Kerry Milligan; his niece Ebony Kendrick; his ex-wife, Simone Whitted-Milligan; his step-daughter, Robin Whitted and son-in-law, Aiyub Saboor; several nieces, nephews and cousins, along with a host of family and friends. Duck is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Xavier Kendrick As it was his request cremation rites have been accorded.
