Deacon Michele Bolden
December 2, 1966 - July 18, 2019
Michele Bolden was born on December 2, 1966 at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York to Emma Bolden and the late John Bolden . Michele was educated in the New York City Public School System, where she attended P.S. 149, JHS I.S. 292 and Clara Barton High School. She had her first job working for her father, keeping his books for his contracting business. She went on to provide security for JFK Airport for several years. She made her way to New York City Parks and worked as part of the Afterschool Staff and as program nutritionist. She met and taught many of the young children in the program, leaving them with invaluable lessons. She made her mark while at St. John’s Recreation Center where she discovered lifelong friends and enduring love. Michele went on to Highland Park Community Development Corp., where she once again dazzled staff and participants with her dedication and wisdom and competence. She retired from there in 2018 and was enjoying her leisure time to spend with family and friends. Michele loved the Lord and spent many hours in fellowship and Bible Study. She was a Deacon in her church, Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member for over 40 years. Michele took her role seriously and was a devoted participant and mentor to many with whom she came into contact, both in and out of church. She was a faithful servant and lived a life of love, loyalty, service and sacrifice. She was instrumental in providing leadership and guidance to many in need. Michele Bolden was very family oriented. She loved hosting events for her family and friends. She was well loved and respected by everyone who was blessed to meet her. Michele loved having a good time and making everyone smile. She was the Life of the Party. She always endeavored to make others feel at home and at peace. If you ever needed a place to stay, her doors were open. Michele had a very high self-esteem and always kept her appearance up. Her confidence and love of life was contagious. She was a beautiful person with a great soul and an over-flowing heart. Michele was gracious, spiritual, talented, thoughtful, considerate and compassionate. She cared about people and was always ready with a helping hand. The love and kindness she possessed could be seen by the dedication, affection and commitment she had for her children and family. She had a deep love for all of her children and worked tirelessly to make them happy. She possessed a boundless amount of love. To love one took nothing from another. Michele loved everyone as we all loved her! Michele was called home on Thursday, July 18, 2019. She leaves many behind to mourn her. Her mother Emma Bolden; seven children: Tiffany Bolden, Natasha Bolden, Taniqua Bolden, Takia Clark, Elijah Clark, Briana Clark and Brittany Clark. Three Grandchildren: Taniya Bolden, Jalyin Holloman and Kodi Kennedy. One sister, Sandy Bolden. Four Brothers: Patrick Bolden, Johnny Bolden Jr., Bruce Bolden and Timmie Bolden. Her husband Keith Clark. Two extended sisters: Rachel Dale and Stacey Thompson. Two extended daughters: Marie Pacheco and Vivian Fontus. A special niece: Shaniqua Clark; a special nephew: John Bolden III; special cousins: Lynnette Hooks and Cynthia Brothers. Five god-children: Natasha Dale, Trusuf Smith, Maya Brothers, Jerry Perez Jr., and Kyheem Briggs. In addition, she leaves behind three sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, numerous friends, family and friend Dwayne Wilson. She is preceded in death by her father, John Bolden and her sister Patricia Banks.
