Mr. Owen Cameron Marshall
September 17, 1937 - March 30, 2019
Owen Cameron Marshall was born on September 17, 1937 to James and Lacy Marshall. Owen was the fifth of eight children. Sadly enough, his parents passed away at a young age. He and his siblings were affectionately cared for by an older cousin by the name of Enid Marshall. Owen attended Boscobel Boys School and later became a Taylor by trade. This stylish young man later met a young woman by the name of Marva Bowen, whom he later married in 1966. From this union they had three children. Through the years, his expert skills allowed him to work for numerous companies including Robert Hall, Ripley’s, MTA, Macy’s, Brooks Brothers and Syms from which he retired after the attack on 9/11. Owen was a good cook and was famous for his yummy Fish Cakes, Codfish Rice and Sausage & Peppers. He was very quiet and not much of a talker but cared for his family. Owen later developed and battled with esophageal cancer for quite a while. The family started taking part in weekly Sunday morning prayer calls in hopes for a breakthrough. He had numerous days of ups & downs and took a turn for the worse on Sunday March 24th during the 5am prayer. He peacefully succumbed to his illness on Saturday March 30th. Owen is survived by his wife Marva, three daughters Maxcine, Katharine, Jennaydra & son-in-law Martin. Two grandchildren Wayne & Zoe, grand cat Cocoa, two great grandchildren Jaila & Jaslyn. Three brothers James & wife Verna, Kenrick, MacArthur & wife Carolyn, two sisters Joyce and Doronda& husband Athol. His grand cat Cocoa and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will be truly missed but Never forgotten. May he rest in everlasting peace.
